Zecuri Terms of Service
Effective date: 2026-05-01 | Last updated: 2026-05-01
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of Zecuri, a password manager service operated by Linespotting AB (Swedish organisationsnummer 559350-0755).
By installing the Zecuri Chrome extension or iOS app, you agree to these terms.
2. The service
Zecuri lets you store credentials (passwords, TOTP secrets, notes), generate strong passwords, and autofill credentials on websites and apps. It is end-to-end encrypted, meaning we cannot read your stored data.
The service consists of the Chrome extension, iOS app, and a future cloud sync service. The current version is local-first and does not require an account.
3. Your responsibilities
Master password: You are responsible for choosing a strong, unique master password (at least 12 characters). We cannot reset it. If you forget it without saving recovery codes, your vault contents are unrecoverable.
Recovery codes: When you enable two-factor authentication, Zecuri shows you 10 recovery codes. Save them somewhere safe and offline. We do not have a copy.
Account security: Use a hardware security key or platform passkey for the strongest second factor. Do not run Zecuri on devices you do not control. Lock your vault when you step away.
Lawful use: You agree not to use Zecuri to store credentials in connection with unauthorized access, intellectual property infringement, fraud, harassment, or harmful conduct.
4. Pricing
The current version of Zecuri is free. When paid plans launch, pricing will be published at https://zecuri.com/pricing. We will give at least 30 days' notice before any pricing change.
For EU consumers, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Refunds for unused portions are at our discretion after 14 days.
5. Intellectual property
The Zecuri name, logo, and brand are trademarks of Linespotting AB. You may not use them without our written permission.
The Zecuri client source code is published under Apache-2.0. The server software will be published under AGPLv3. Our open source license does not give you the right to use the Zecuri name or logo for derivative products.
6. Warranty disclaimer
Zecuri is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We promise to keep our zero-knowledge architecture, disclose security vulnerabilities promptly, not sell your data, and notify you of security incidents within 72 hours.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Linespotting AB is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of data from forgotten passwords, or loss of business/profits.
For EU consumers, statutory rights under consumer protection law are not affected. Our maximum liability is the amount paid in the preceding 12 months, or €100 for free users.
8. Termination
You can stop using Zecuri at any time. We can terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms, haven't logged in for 24 months, or are legally compelled to do so.
9. Changes
We will update these terms when needed. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
